|---|---|---|---|---|
| Yugenox Instagram Scraper | $0.0059 | $0.0099 | $0.0139 | 26 |
| apple_yang/instagram-transcripts-scraper | $0.0055 | $0.0100 | $0.0145 | 3,280 |
| steadyfetch/instagram-reel-transcript-scraper | $0.0150 | $0.0150 | $0.0150 | 1,765 |
| sian.agency/instagram-ai-transcript-extractor | $0.0280 | $0.0280 | $0.0280 | 3,340 |
| apify/instagram-reel-scraper (transcript add-on) | $0.0506 | $0.0986 | $0.15 | 165,315 |
| afanasenko/instagram-reel-script-extractor | $0.0750 | $0.0750 | $0.0750 | 766 |
apple_yang is slightly lower than us for reels under a minute, and we're slightly lower at three minutes. At this level the difference is a fraction of a cent per reel, so what's included matters more than the price. Most tools here, ours included, get cheaper on paid Apify plans; steadyfetch, for example, drops to $0.0075 per reel on Scale (its listing schedules $0.0125 on Scale from 2026-10-16). Our transcript minute stays $0.004 on every plan, while the row drops from $0.0019 to $0.0015 on Scale and $0.0011 on Business.
Want different numbers? The reels transcript page has a calculator for any reel count and length.
What each tool includes
| Tool | How it bills | What you get, per its listing |
|---|---|---|
| Yugenox Instagram Scraper | $0.0019 per row + $0.004 per started minute | Transcript and language inside the full post row (caption, likes, comments, plays, owner followers), plus Instagram's AI summary and latest comments at no extra cost. Sources: profiles, reels tabs, hashtags, keywords, locations, audio pages and URLs. Up to 15 minutes. Reels with no detectable speech are usually skipped. No on-screen text, no timestamps. |
| apple_yang/instagram-transcripts-scraper | $0.001 per result + $0.0045 per started minute | Transcripts plus profile data, per its title "Instagram Transcript API & Profile Scraper". |
| steadyfetch/instagram-reel-transcript-scraper | $0.015 per reel, first 3 minutes included, then $0.005 per minute | Speech-to-text, the first-3-seconds hook, language, timestamped segments and reel metadata. Optional on-screen text. Music-only reels and failures free. |
| sian.agency/instagram-ai-transcript-extractor | $0.028 per reel + $0.005 per run | AI transcription with 30+ fields per reel. Paid add-ons for faster processing, translation and comments. |
| apify/instagram-reel-scraper | $0.0026 per reel + $0.048 per started minute + $0.001 per run | Apify's own reel scraper with a transcript add-on, plus share counts and video downloads as paid add-ons. |
| afanasenko/instagram-reel-script-extractor | $0.075 per reel, up to 3 minutes | Transcript with on-screen text and hooks. Failed, private and over-length reels are free rows. |
How to choose
- You need timestamps, hooks or on-screen text: steadyfetch or afanasenko are built for that.
- You need translation: sian.agency sells it as an add-on.
- You need transcripts plus the whole post record from profiles, hashtags, places or sounds in one run: that's what we built. Pair it with the creator signals for outreach research.
- You already use apify/instagram-reel-scraper and need a few transcripts: the add-on is convenient, but at $0.048 per started minute on Free it's the most expensive per minute here.
How we calculated
- Free-plan tier prices, read from the public Apify API on 2026-10-15.
- Started minutes: a 30-second reel is 1 minute, 90 seconds is 2, three minutes is 3.
- Per-reel figures exclude once-per-run start fees (sian.agency $0.005 per GB of memory, apify $0.001). The calculator adds them once per run.
- The "3 min video" column matters for longer videos. afanasenko supports up to 3 minutes; ours goes to 15.
We make one of these tools. If a number here is wrong or out of date, open an issue on the Issues tab and we'll fix it.

Which Instagram transcript tool costs the least?
It depends on reel length and your Apify plan. On the Free plan, apple_yang is lowest for short reels and we are slightly lower at three minutes. Most tools get cheaper on paid plans; for ours, the row price drops on Scale and Business while the transcript minute stays $0.004.
Why do some tools bill per minute and others per reel?
Per-minute billing tracks the actual work, so short reels are cheap and long videos cost more. Per-reel billing is simpler to predict but usually caps length (often at 3 minutes).
Are music-only reels charged?
Usually not by us: reels with no detectable speech are usually skipped for transcription, though an occasional one comes back with an empty transcript and a billed minute. steadyfetch and afanasenko list music-only or failed reels as free.
Do I need an Instagram login for these?
Not for ours; it reads public, logged-out pages only. Check each other tool's listing for its own requirements.
How current are these prices?
They were read on 2026-10-15. Actors change prices, so check the pricing tab before a large run.
Run it on your own data
Open the Actor on Apify, paste your input and press Start. You pay per result from your own Apify account, with no subscription to us. Or connect it to your AI assistant and ask in plain English.
