Find the reels that use a sound
Every sound on Instagram has a page listing the reels that use it. Paste that audio link and the Actor pages through the list, returning each reel with its play count, likes, comments, caption and the creator's follower count. $1.90 per 1,000 reels, no login.

How to get the audio link
On Instagram, open any reel that uses the sound and tap the sound name at the bottom of the screen. That opens the sound's page. Copy its link, which looks like https://www.instagram.com/reels/audio/271328201351336/, and paste it into Start URLs. You can add as many sounds as you like to one run and compare them side by side.

What it's good for
- Trend timing. Look at how
createdAtis spread across the reels using a sound to see whether it's rising, peaking or fading before you build content on it. - Music marketing. See which creators picked up a track, how big their audiences are and which reels carried it.
- Branded sounds. If your brand launched an original sound, list every creator who used it, their reach and whether the post was a disclosed partnership.
- Creator discovery. Smaller accounts that get outsized plays on a trending sound are often the best-value partners. Filter with
minFollowersandmaxFollowers. - Creative research. Read the captions and hooks of the most-played reels on a sound to see which angles work with it.
A simple adoption tracker
Run the same list of sounds daily or weekly on an Apify schedule and keep only recent reels with until (for example 7 days). In a spreadsheet, group the rows by sound and by the date part of createdAt, then sum video.playCount. That gives you new reels per day and plays per day for each sound, which is usually enough to tell a sound that's taking off from one that's done.
Costs
- 200 reels from one sound: $0.38.
- 10 sounds x 300 reels each: 3,000 rows, $5.70.
- Transcripts, if you turn them on, cost $0.004 per started minute. Reels with no detectable speech, such as those set only to a licensed song, are usually skipped for transcription.
Limits
- Instagram decides the list. The Actor reads the sound's reel list page by page (12 reels a page) until it reaches your Max items or the list ends. For very large sounds, Instagram may not expose every reel that ever used it.
- Bring your own sounds. There is no "trending sounds" list here, so start from sound links you find in the app or in other scraped reels, where each reel's
audio.idgives you the sound. - Play counts are a snapshot of what Instagram shows logged-out visitors at run time.

Where do I find a sound's link?
Open a reel in the Instagram app or on the web, tap the sound name at the bottom, and copy the link of the page that opens.
How many reels can I get per sound?
The Actor pages through the sound's reel list, 12 at a time, until it hits your Max items or the list ends.
Can it find trending sounds for me?
No. It needs the sound's link. Each scraped reel's audio.id helps you build a list of sounds to track.
Does it work with original audio as well as music?
Yes. The audio object's isOriginal flag tells you which is which.
Do I need to log in to Instagram?
No. Sound pages are read the same way a logged-out visitor sees them.
What does it cost?
$1.90 per 1,000 reels on the Free and Starter plans ($1.50 on Scale, $1.10 on Business), so 200 reels cost $0.38 on Free. Transcripts, if you turn them on, add $0.004 per started minute of audio.
